In addition to the efficient train services, Manchester boasts the Metrolink system, a sprawling network of 99 stops covering 64 miles of standard-gauge track. This combines buses, trams, cycling routes, and walking paths, aiming to create a seamless, London-style transport experience for both residents and visitors. The M60 motorway encircles Manchester and offers direct routes to all of the Greater Manchester areas and also links up with other local motorways such as the M56, M61 and M6. Manchester Airport is located only 7.5 miles southwest of Manchester city centre and is the UK’s third busiest airport. It boasts three terminals and has direct links to the Metrolink system as well as being very close to the M56 motorway.

Manchester has an amazing selection of eateries and retail establishments which including the Curry Mile in Rusholme where you can experience authentic Indian restaurants, Chinatown where you can eat traditional Asian cuisine and the fine dining experience of Spinning Fields where you can find the Ivy and Hawksmoor Manchester. With over 200 stores, the Arndale offers an exceptional shopping experience. Its appeal is rivalled only by the Trafford Centre, the UK’s second-largest shopping centre, located just 6 miles away. Conveniently accessible via direct Metrolink and bus routes, the Trafford Centre promises a shopping adventure of its own.

The city also has many theatres such as the Palace Theatre, Opera House and the Royal Exchange as well as concert halls like The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Arena and the newly constructed Co-op Live. Manchester is host to several acclaimed universities such as University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan and the recently established, ground-breaking and innovative, UA92. Trafford within Greater Manchester is well known for its Grammar School system which offers a great deal of choice to parents. The schools in the area are often a factor when choosing where to live.
